Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art AI products. Your expertise will be crucial in defining elegant, high-performance computing, sensing, communication, and power systems to support our fixed-wing aircraft products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead circuit board designs for the VBAT aircraft and its support equipment, incorporating complex system architectures and custom circuitry.
  • Support the design and integration of complex embedded systems and sensors, enabling VBAT autonomy and AI.
  • Be responsible for part selection, schematic capture, simulation, analysis, verification, debugging, and release to production.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, embedded, software, manufacturing, supply chain, and more.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Conduct and attend cross-functional design reviews, providing valuable insights and feedback.
  • Work closely with CAD engineering for PCB layout, utilizing Altium.
  • Interface with customers, contractors, and other 3rd parties regarding design execution of our products.
  • Provide feedback on other team work and mentor teammates when possible.
  • Help develop automated test solutions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience contributing to a product design involving EE, ME, and SW engineering.
  • Proficiency in circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, and circuit testing.
  • Demonstrated track record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
  • Demonstrated track record of assuming ownership over development processes and features, delivering outstanding outcomes.
  • Proven track record of successfully shipping products, navigating development cycles, overcoming obstacles, and delivering high-quality solutions to meet project deadlines and exceed client expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems.
  • Proven background in thriving within fast-paced environments, particularly within startup or R&D settings.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and the ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes.
