Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining all building-related systems and ensuring the safety of our guests, associates, and vendors.
Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Assist with preventative maintenance tasks, including replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl to maintain the hotel's quality standards.
- System Checks: Perform regular checks on electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and make minor repairs and replacements as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in checking and making routine repairs to all hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Pool Maintenance: Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, and completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
- Exterior Maintenance: Maintain the building's exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
- Furniture Refurbishment: Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, and paint and finish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Guest Service: Respond to guest questions, complaints, and requests in a courteous manner to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
- Physical Demands: Exposure to extreme temperatures, operation of heavy machinery, and regularly lifting 25-50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Availability: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Vocational Training: Vocational schooling, military training, certification, and/or experience in building-related trades, such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
- Hotel Experience: Hotel experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
