Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Technician I to join our team at Trilon Group's Construction Engineering Inspection Division. This role offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Familiarize yourself with the DOT Standard Specifications, Standard Drawings, and Construction Manual.
  2. Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, DOT representatives, and contractors daily.
  3. Use and understand tools of the trades assigned.
  4. Measure and report progress information in Daily Diaries.
  5. Perform on-site testing as needed.
  6. Familiarize yourself with plans and specifications for the job to be inspected.
  7. Check all materials before installation.
  8. Identify issues or potential issues to the contractor and project engineer, and report progress to the project engineer and supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma is required; AAS Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of progressive structure inspection level experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience are necessary.
  • Self-motivation to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment is essential.
  • Conformity to applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and other orders, as well as company policies, procedures, and directives from supervisors, is required.
  • Certification in DOT classes and maintenance of certifications are also necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel is expected.
