Tool and Die Maker

Job Summary:

NAPCO Security Technologies, a leading manufacturer of electronic security systems, is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a key member of our pressroom, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, and fixtures to support our production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and test tools, dies, and fixtures to meet production requirements.
• Operate various machines, including lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders, to produce high-quality parts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the pressroom supervisor to troubleshoot production issues, optimize tooling, and implement process improvements.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure tools and dies meet specifications.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of tooling files, including design specifications, materials, and performance data.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tool and die making or manufacturing role.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine materials, specifications, and tolerances.
• Proficiency in operating conventional tool room equipment, including lathes, mills, and drill presses.
• Knowledge of stamping and progressive/compound dies, with experience in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD/MasterCAM) a plus.
• Experience with VMCs and wire EDM machines a plus.
