We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Liaison to join our team at SuperCare Health. As a Clinical Liaison, you will play a critical role in cultivating quality relationships with medical facilities, patients, and families, providing prompt service, and marketing our Durable Medical Equipment, Respiratory therapies, and infusion services.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate all details of Durable Medical Equipment and Respiratory item deliveries to hospital rooms and homes with the Customer Care Specialist, Dispatcher, and Respiratory Department.
- Consult with patients and families on receiving Durable Medical Equipment items to their rooms prior to discharge, reducing the number of deliveries to homes or delivering to homes if needed.
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the proper use of Durable Medical Equipment and Respiratory equipment when delivered to hospital rooms.
- Consult with the Director of Sales on Durable Medical Equipment and Respiratory orders for patients.
- Monitor and report referrals from partnered healthcare systems vendors to other companies other than SuperCare Health.
- Ensure partnered vendors and patients' satisfaction by completing all procedural and requested follow-through.
- Maintain a professional and constant interfacing with patients' Managed Care and Primary Medical groups to ensure all required pre-authorizations and proper coordination of services when applicable.
- Complete and submit all required daily and weekly reports regarding activities, patient, and vendor interaction.
- Review and maintain appropriate inventories of equipment in assigned storage/closets to maintain adequate inventory PAR levels set by SuperCare Health.
- Provide Customer Care Department Specialists with essential information needed to properly process insurance or private pay billing.
- Adhere to and abide by SuperCare Health's HIPAA policy.
- Understand and adhere to all of SuperCare Health company policies.
- Submit completed approved business expenses in a timely manner.
- Attend all department meetings and in-services scheduled.
- Schedule ongoing community development activities, in-services, and seminars on new Durable Medical Equipment.
- Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment and services from customers, patients, caregivers, physicians, and family members.
- Collect additional information and documentation needed from insurance or physicians.
- Assess the need of patients and the best choice of respiratory therapy or services needed.
- Communicate with patients' physicians on changes in patients' conditions or needs and carry out adjustments to patients' Plans of Care.
- Complete patient accounts paperwork, including Plans of Care-treatment/assessments.
- Support SuperCare Health by being loyal and informing the office of concerns and problems to be resolved.
- Follow up on visits for respiratory patients and assist in continuity of care as needed and determined by policy and procedure.
- Act as a liaison between SuperCare Health and patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required by Department Leadership.
- Execute strategic planning and selling to referral sources, including pre-call planning, understanding each sales call has an opening, probing questioning, presenting benefits, and closing for business.
- Become an expert on our core products of Respiratory Equipment and Supplies, including Ventilators, Vests, Oxygen, BiPAP, CPAP, and any other respiratory-related equipment & supplies.
- Meet monthly sales goals and quotas to maximize commission and drive revenue for the company.
- Make presentations to physicians, home health agencies, and hospitals regarding our core products and services.
- Must be able to walk long distances across large healthcare facilities.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and miscellaneous items up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis.
Fast-paced healthcare facilities with an emphasis on prompt deliveries and coordination of Durable Medical Equipment and services with high-level communication with multiple partnered healthcare vendors. Demands of this job include, but are not limited to, coordinating multiple discharges at one time, working under multiple deadlines, and forwarding pertinent discharge information to both SuperCare Medical and appropriate Healthcare staff.
Work Experience Requirements:- Graduate from accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP)
- Experience as Respiratory Therapist
