Job Title: Radiation Therapist 2

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist 2 to join our team at Inova Schar Cancer Institute. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with a varied schedule.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist 2 to provide high-quality patient care and treatment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiation treatments to patients using linear accelerators and other equipment.
  • Perform simulation procedures to verify proper functioning of equipment and ensure accurate patient setup.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and other healthcare team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily treatments and other required documents.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification.
  • 2 years of experience as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy department with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation.
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologist required upon start.
  • Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
  • License Radiologic Technologist is required for PROC.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • VA License highly preferred.
