About the Role

FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice is seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our Real Estate Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients, including real estate investment trusts (REITs) and private equity real estate funds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day workflow management and ensure timely completion of tax return preparation and special projects/consulting
  • Develop and implement tax compliance strategies, highlighting tax issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of financial statements
  • Clearly and accurately document tax compliance forms as defined in planning, and assign and review work papers prepared by staff
  • Research tax and client requested inquiries, and build tax knowledge in various states
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and participate in the proposal process
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, with education in compliance with CPA exam requirements
  • 3+ years post-graduate work experience in Public Accounting or equivalent, with experience in real estate and partnership taxation
  • Strong analytical skills and accounting or audit knowledge, with proficiency in Excel, MS-Word, and tax preparation software (GoSystem preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to share innovative concepts and collaborate with internal teams
