A **Registered Nurse (RN)** is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care within the **Geropsychiatric Unit**. This role involves:
- **Assessment and Monitoring**: Evaluating, tracking, documenting, and communicating any symptoms or alterations in patient conditions.
- **Patient Care Management**: Maintaining precise patient records and medical histories, conducting mental and physical evaluations, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- **Daily Support**: Assisting patients with their daily activities and observing their reactions to various interventions.
- **Therapeutic Environment**: Overseeing activities within the therapeutic milieu, including leading daily group sessions, providing educational support, and engaging in one-on-one interactions with patients.
- **Collaborative Care**: Working alongside a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure optimal patient care, including the formulation of individualized treatment plans upon admission and throughout the care process.
- **Documentation**: Completing all necessary patient-related documentation promptly and accurately, which encompasses admission paperwork, assessments, and progress notes.
Job Requirements
- Education: A 2-year Associate's degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid State of New Hampshire RN license.
- Certifications: BLS certification is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of prior nursing experience is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology essential.
- Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical abilities, alongside excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
