Job Description
We are seeking experienced Event Service Specialists for our catering operations.
As a part of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks during events, including setup, service, and cleanup. Experience in catering and audio-visual support is beneficial but not mandatory. A valid Oregon Food Handler's Card is preferred, or you will need to obtain one after being hired. Compensation is based on experience, with additional gratuities available.
Event service staff are dynamic roles that require flexibility. Unlike traditional waitstaff, you will engage with all guests throughout the event, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up event spaces, including arranging tables and placing linens.
- Serving food and beverages to guests.
- Maintaining cleanliness during and after events.
- Breaking down setups and managing inventory post-event.
It is essential to adhere to health and safety regulations throughout the event, including during the closing procedures.
Qualifications
Event service roles require the ability to remain active and mobile, including tasks such as lifting items weighing between 25-50 pounds, bending, and navigating stairs. Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are crucial for success in this position. A positive demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent service are vital attributes for our team members.
