Structural Steel Fabricator

Job Summary:
The QTI Group is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for creating metal components and structures from raw materials, ensuring the quality and integrity of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to fabricate metal components accurately.
• Use a variety of tools and machinery, including shears, rollers, and bending machines, to cut and shape metal.
• Assemble metal parts and weld them securely using MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for precision and adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of materials used and time spent on each project.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-year fabrication/welding experience or equivalent advanced education.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform layout techniques for structural steel fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and physical stamina to handle heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
