Job Description:

A dynamic and innovative company is seeking a seasoned Food Safety Manager to spearhead its food safety and quality assurance initiatives. Located in Greater Raleigh, North Carolina, this critical role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering a strong food safety culture, and driving continuous improvement.

About the Position:
  • The ideal candidate will possess expertise in aseptic processes, SQF systems, and a passion for thriving in a fast-paced startup-like environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of food safety and quality assurance programs, including development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Leadership of an upcoming SQF audit, ensuring readiness across all operational levels.
  • Team management, including mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Conducting internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaboration with production and sanitation teams to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process evaluation.
  • Regulatory compliance monitoring, including HACCP, PCQI, and GMP programs.
  • Supporting environmental monitoring programs and overseeing raw material testing.
  • Promoting a strong food safety culture throughout the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in aseptic operations.
  • HACCP and PCQI certification required; SQF Practitioner certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, SQF, and other regulatory standards.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in dynamic environments or ability to thrive in such settings.
Compensation and Benefits:

A competitive salary of $123,500 - $138,500 per year, commensurate with experience, along with relocation assistance and opportunities for growth in a rapidly evolving industry.
