Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team at the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nutrition assessments, developing individualized nutrition care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including nutrition diagnosis, interventions, and goal setting
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Develop and implement nutrition-related policies and procedures
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Requirements
  • Current valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a public health or hospital environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in a NICU or critical care setting
  • Knowledge of nutrition-related regulations and policies
