About the Role

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Transport Operations Network Security & Information Assurance Engineer to support the Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) Contract. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) to customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust global network security solutions
  • Configure enterprise-grade firewalls, manage DMZ environments, and engineer secure VPN solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to safeguard network infrastructure against emerging threats and vulnerabilities
  • Provide Tier III support to the Network Operations Center (NOC) watch staff
  • Participate in engineering meetings between operations and engineering for projects deployed into production
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance
  • Minimum of DoD IAT Level III Certification (CISSP or CASP)
  • Associate level Network Vendor Certification from a recognized vendor (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, Palo Alto, McAfee, Trellix)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience providing support to the NGEN-NMCI program
  • Experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) identity management solution
  • Advanced/Professional level vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, Palo Alto, McAfee, Trellix)
