We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Interfor. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our mill equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide direction, training, and support to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintenance Planning and Coordination: Coordinate with production teams to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and effectively schedule maintenance activities.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Execute, develop, and maintain effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment is running at optimal levels.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of problems and initiate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work with management teams to plan equipment or technological changes to mill equipment and use computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical field such as Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in an industrial environment.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in leading and ensuring safety performance, knowledge of development and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and controls maintenance processes and practices, and experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
- Personal Qualities: Strong mechanical aptitude, planning, and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
