Housekeeper-PT Job Description

Lake Junaluska Assembly Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper-PT to join our team. As a Housekeeper-PT, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain professional appearance and wear a clean, pressed uniform
  • Assist guests with daily contact and provide excellent customer service
  • Clean and maintain furniture, rooms, and guest common areas to departmental and industry standards
  • Keep hallways, elevators, stairways, meeting rooms, and offices clean, including outside areas
  • Ensure public areas and private rooms are clean and well-maintained for guest comfort
  • Vacuum and clean floors and carpets in guest rooms or public areas
  • Dust and polish furniture, keep windows and doors clean
  • Scrub, disinfect, and deodorize bathroom fixtures
  • Strip beds, collect dirty linen, and make beds with fresh linens
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor
Requirements:
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and a minimum of 1-year relevant experience
  • Hospitality experience strongly desired
  • Good communication skills, client relation skills, and a commitment to providing responsive and conscientious customer service
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing needs, multiple task demands, and work structures
  • Ability to manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed in the time allotted
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats
  • Ability to effectively present job-related information upon request to customers, clients, and employees of the organization
  • Proven organizational skills and interpersonal skills are required
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of customer, clients, and employee questions
  • Excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of "exceeding guest's expectations"
  • Ability to support the Mission and Vision of Lake Junaluska is essential
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Working Conditions:
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity performing strenuous and non-strenuous activities with moderate to loud noise
  • Indoor/outdoor work. Frequently exposed to elements such as; heat, cold, wind, rain
  • Ability to coordinate work, frequently moves about, able to stand for prolonged periods of time, walk, sit
  • Manual dexterity to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk to and hear and understand staff and customer requests, and also lifts or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work with a variety of chemicals, including pro-quaternary and bleach-based products
  • Must have good vision to monitor grade of cleaning. Able to identify and distinguish colors; ability to adjust focus, must have depth perception in order to re-set rooms
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Sunday, nights/weekends/holidays as required
