We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse/Circulator to join our Perioperative team at Southeastern Orthopedic Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our perioperative department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform perioperative assessments on all patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Verify the operative site has been marked prior to surgery and ensure patient safety through proper identification, chart checking, and report changes.
  • Assist and supervise scrub techs as necessary to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Monitor and maintain a sterile field at all times, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments according to policy and procedure.
  • Care for specimens according to policy and procedure.
  • Meet current documentation standards and communicate effectively with pre-op and post-op teams, anesthesia, and physicians to ensure smooth case flow.
  • Report any discrepancies in procedure or case to the charge nurse and assume accountability for work performance and learning new procedures and tasks.
Requirements
  • RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
