The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within the scope of their training and approved agreement. This individual works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive health histories, review patient records, and develop detailed medical assessments.
- Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies as necessary for patient care.
- Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals as needed.
- Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion.
- Analyze and interpret patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment.
- Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment as necessary.
- Analyze and interpret lab studies and reports.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and family.
- Confident in suturing, splinting, minor office procedures, x-ray reads, and treating all ages.
- DOT Certification, preferred. If not DOT-certified, applicant willing to become DOT certified (employer will pay for training).
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified - (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred).
- Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania and unrestricted DEA certification.
- Able to multi-task and work independently.
