About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills, California. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our members.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Specialist is responsible for performing various patient care functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. This includes assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, as well as providing basic nursing care and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Provide basic nursing care, including taking vital signs and recording patient information
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including keeping patient rooms and common areas tidy and organized
  • Assist with tasks such as feeding, bathing, and ambulating patients as needed
  • Report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or physician
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of one year of experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting. You must also be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Benefits

Kaiser Permanente offers a competitive salary range of $50,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings options.

This is an on-call position, which means you may be required to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. However, we offer a generous compensation package for on-call time worked.
