Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bridge Construction Manager to join our team in Okaloosa County, FL. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for driving and operating trucks and equipment to transport materials and perform construction and maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience in the operation of light trucks and/or related light equipment, as well as a valid class B commercial driver license with air brakes. You must also be physically able to operate complex trucks and equipment, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 100 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks and equipment to transport materials and perform construction and maintenance activities
  • Perform physical labor in the maintenance, restoration or construction of roadways, drainage systems and disposal sites
  • Cut trees, limbs and shrubbery on right-of-ways or adjacent road and traffic areas
  • Clear ditches, culverts, drains, gutters and beaver dams
