We are seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Inspector to join our team at National Guard Employment Network. As a Petroleum Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting cargo inspections and testing to ensure the quality and safety of products.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual observation, volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of products contained or conveyed in lines, barge tanks, ship tanks, rail tanks, shore tanks, and other vessels.
- Attend movements involving line and tank transfer or displacement, lightering, and loading and unloading operations.
- Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and Company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties assigned.
- Perform and document routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks.
- Organize and coordinate jobs so that services are rendered, and reports and samples are submitted, in a timely manner.
- Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
- Verify and communicate the results obtained, and to make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1+ year inspector experience
- TWIC
- Travel between office and terminals, usually within 50 miles of office location
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and be able to work in the elements.
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 year inspector experience preferred
- IFIA certification is a plus
