Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Eastern Virginia Medical School. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The LPN will work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing education to patients and their families. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, responding to patient inquiries, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing education to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documenting patient interactions, medications, and test results.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Virginia.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical office or clinic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
