Job Summary
The Schoolcraft College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computed Tomography Instructor to join our faculty team. As a Computed Tomography Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Computed Tomography.
Responsibilities
- Teach Computed Tomography courses to students in a classroom setting.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the program.
- Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in Computed Tomography.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Medical Imaging or related area.
- Current ARRT & CT certification.
- Three (3) years full-time experience as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered technologist in the post certification area of Computed Tomography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Imaging or related area.
- Five (5) years full-time experience as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered technologist in the post certification area of Computed Tomography.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or board of trustees.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
