This role requires a proactive individual to oversee the meticulous planning and scheduling of construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed safely and adhere to all design, budgetary, and timeline specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive planning and scheduling of assigned electrical tasks.
  • Responsibilities encompass estimating, detailed material take-offs, conduit sizing, and wiring in accordance with NEC standards, as well as the procurement of necessary materials.
  • Consolidate various engineering information packages to formulate construction plans and deliverables for field operations and supervision.
  • Evaluate engineering information packages for feasibility and thoroughness.
  • Ensure that appropriate safety protocols are established and documented for all planned projects.
  • Develop a strategy for completing all work orders, including labor estimates and a list of required materials.
  • Identify tools and specialized equipment essential for the successful completion of work orders.
  • Create detailed construction plans and additional deliverables for field operations and supervision.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and external suppliers to order all necessary components and materials for task completion, documenting them in the work order plan.
  • Engage in planning for detailed shutdowns and turnaround operations.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow within the work order system, ensuring timely completion of all customer requests as prioritized.
  • Coordinate closely with other Construction Managers to ensure cohesive project execution towards shared objectives.
  • Maintain direct communication with Owners and Engineers.
  • Manage Construction Cost, including overseeing change orders for assigned projects.
  • Prepare subcontractor bid packages.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management, along with 2 to 3 years of experience in Industrial Construction.
  • Experience in estimating is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective time management and organizational abilities, are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Familiarity with LEAN principles is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 & 30 Training is advantageous.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation capabilities.
