Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Import Operations Agent to join our team at Priority Worldwide. As a key member of our import department, you will play a pivotal role in processing import shipments and customs entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process import shipments from start to finish, adhering to quality standards and ensuring timely and cost-effective movement.
  • Monitor and handle import shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and classifications.
  • Develop and maintain beneficial working relationships with regulatory agencies and vendors.
  • Assist the Director of Compliance with import compliance issues, including Customs, Bonded Warehouse, CTPAT, and other regulatory matters.
  • Prepare quotes and ensure compliance with Priority Worldwide's service standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in imports in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven experience handling files from A-Z and strong computer skills, including Cargowise, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Sensitive to customer and employee needs, with excellent communication skills.

  • Competitive salary range of $50,000-$65,000 annually, depending on experience.

  • 5 work-from-home days per month, 3 weeks paid time off, and 3 days paid time off for volunteer work.
