Job Title: Electrical Vehicle Charging Project Manager

At Infra-Rec, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Vehicle Charging Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and construction of EV charging infrastructure projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including site assessments, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
    • Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all work aligns with project specifications and industry standards.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding electrical infrastructure and EV charging systems.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with utility companies to manage grid connections, electrical load assessments, and any required infrastructure upgrades.
    • Liaise with local authorities and permitting agencies to obtain necessary approvals for project execution.
  • Site & Installation Management:
    • Oversee on-site installation of EV charging stations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, electrical codes, and quality standards.
    • Conduct site inspections and assessments to determine optimal charging station locations and electrical requirements.
    • Manage contractors and field teams during the installation, commissioning, and testing phases of the project.
  • Financial Management:
    • Track project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered within financial parameters.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports, invoices, and change orders as necessary.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest EV charging technologies, including Level 2 and DC fast chargers, battery energy storage systems, and load management solutions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical installations, ensuring optimal performance of EV charging systems.
    • Integrate new technologies and best practices into project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in electrical infrastructure, renewable energy, or EV charging projects.
    • Familiarity with EV charging station installations and related electrical systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, transformers, and electrical panels.
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
