Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in a Behavioral Health Specialist role. As an LVN, you will play a vital part in providing patient-centered care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Monitor patient health and administer basic care, utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
- Role model exceptional customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met.
- Provide basic comfort and implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care, tailored to individual patient needs.
- Apply appropriate interventions to progress patients towards wellness and address maintenance of wellness.
- Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in patient treatment.
- Maintain standards of professional nursing practice, adhering to facility policy, external governing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
- Current LPN/LVN license as required by the state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
