Job Summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Macon, Georgia. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and submitting CT images for interpretation, while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and formulate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy of interest based on accepted radiographic principles.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm their understanding.
  • Perform venipuncture for administration of radiopaque media and assist in obtaining informed consent as appropriate.
  • Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided.
  • Take verbal orders from providers and enter them into the RIS system.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and document patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Assist, communicate, and consult with radiologists, working independently outside the department with providers.
  • Observe patients during radiologic exams for changes in status and make appropriate interventions or contact primary caregivers.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and mentoring for other personnel assigned to the area.
  • Identify and correct problems as appropriate, reporting critical occurrences to the next level of authority.
  • Utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
  • Graduate of AMA, JRC, or Regionally Accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
  • ARRT CT registry required in accordance with Work Instruction EMP 8.
