Job Description:
This Wafer Maintenance Technician role is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to join our team at Volt Workforce Solution in Richardson, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our wafer fabrication equipment, ensuring seamless production processes and meeting our clients' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment, working closely with factory management to prioritize job tasks and optimize equipment availability.
- Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and engineers to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance equipment reliability.
- Vendor Management and Training: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, field service representatives, and technical experts, attending classes, seminars, and training sessions as required to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document all work performed on equipment and attend shift pass-down meetings to ensure effective communication with colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military training.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in high-volume semiconductor environments, performing maintenance on tools such as CVD, IMPLANT, PVD, and HDP equipment.
- Skills: Strong RF troubleshooting skills, experience conducting technical training, willingness to work night shifts, ability to edit and author specifications, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certifications and Physical Requirements: Candidate must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift, lifting up to 35+ pounds, wearing a respirator, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
