POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in fostering a customer-centric sales environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing sales activities, ensuring asset security, and managing human resources functions to enhance customer satisfaction and drive profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Management
  • Review sales data and key performance indicators to identify business requirements and implement sales initiatives
  • Set clear performance goals and hold the team accountable for achieving them
  • Manage payroll and inventory budgets
  • Supervise operational tasks such as staff scheduling, inventory control, and cash management
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and policies, and provide training for team members
  • Oversee inventory management processes and maintain store aesthetics
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture and educate the team on product offerings
Team Development
  • Encourage and motivate team members, fostering collaborative problem-solving
  • Communicate effectively with the team and drive positive organizational change
  • Pursue personal growth opportunities and solicit constructive feedback
Customer Engagement
  • Exemplify and advocate for outstanding customer service practices
  • Employ sales techniques to fulfill customer needs and ensure satisfaction
  • Address customer inquiries promptly and maintain open lines of communication
Talent Management
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of team members
  • Implement training initiatives and evaluate team performance
  • Address human resources matters and enhance team engagement
Additional responsibilities may be assigned. This role may be available across various brands with differing duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in retail management
  • Strong communication skills and a proven customer service background
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with retail operations and technology
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Regular walking and standing
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing
