We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Tech II to join our team at UF Health. As a Surgical Tech II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgical team in the Operating Room.
**Responsibilities**
* Assist surgeons with basic instrumentation and sterile techniques during procedures
* Provide patient care in the clinical setting, including vital sign monitoring and wound care
* Maintain and care for basic surgical equipment and instrumentation
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
* Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
**Requirements**
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST within 1 year of hire
* BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
* Strong working knowledge of patient care and basic human needs
* In-depth knowledge of medical terminology
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
