Job Title: Fiber Splicer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team at SQUAN CONSTRUCTION, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, prepping, and splicing fiber optic cables in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and prep fiber optic cables for splicing
Splice fiber optic cables, including loose tube and ribbon cables
Operate technical equipment, such as OTDRs, PWR METER/OLTS, and fusion splicing equipment
Read and interpret existing fiber records, maps, and diagrams
Complete daily production reports to document work performed

Requirements:

Experience in cable and closure prepping, bonding, or grounding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and splice diagrams
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Requirements:

Aerial cable installation experience
Certified Pole Climber

Working Conditions:

Work in various environments, including rural and congested traffic areas
Work outdoors in different weather conditions
Ability to work safely and maintain a safe working environment

Compensation:

$40.00 Hourly
