As a Hospice Aide, you will:
- Provide compassionate care to patients, allowing them to stay at home surrounded by their loved ones
- Collaborate with the hospice team to address each patient's unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Assist patients in experiencing their final days with joy, peace, and dignity
- Enhance the quality of life for individuals every day
Certified Nursing Assistant is highly preferred.
In states where licensure is not mandatory (AL, AZ, CT, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV), applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Already possess a license/certification as an aide; or
- Have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program and have been continuously employed in that role for the past 24 months
Current CPR certification is required.
State-Specific Requirements:- California: State certification as a home health aide.
- Colorado: Completion of state training program and certification via DORA.
- New Hampshire: Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) required for hospice employment.
- New Jersey: Certification as a Homemaker Home Health Aide or as a long-term care CNA.
- Virginia: Aide certification required to practice in the state.
- Wisconsin: Aides must be certified and listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
