Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Soliant Education. As a key member of our occupational therapy team, you will play a crucial role in supporting licensed Occupational Therapists in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of students with various physical and developmental challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting assessments, supervised by licensed OTs, to identify physical and developmental challenges.
  • Support the creation of individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, client goals, and OT guidance.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions as directed by licensed OTs, encompassing occupational therapy services tailored to student needs.
  • Apply various tools and techniques to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on occupational therapy matters.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress, documenting treatment outcomes, and reporting findings to licensed OTs.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in occupational therapy through engaging in professional development activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or a related field.
  • Valid and active state certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
  • Preferred previous experience working as a COTA or in a related role.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in occupational therapy.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of licensed OTs and collaborate effectively within a team.
