Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Mechanical and Electrical Malfunctions: Use your expertise to identify and resolve issues with heating and cooling systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform Regular Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and maintenance on heating and cooling units to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Install, Replace, and Repair Equipment: Assemble and install metal ductwork, calibrate thermostatic controls, and repair or replace worn parts and equipment.
  • Assist in Planning and Designing New Installations: Collaborate with management to design and implement new heating and air-conditioning systems, ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards.
  • Provide Estimates and Repair Damaged Parts: Offer accurate estimates for materials required and repair or replace damaged equipment to minimize downtime and costs.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints and Regulations: Understand and apply City, State, and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Establish and Maintain Customer Relationships: Build strong relationships with customers and their representatives, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Safely Operate Company Vehicles and Equipment: Recognize and mitigate risks and safety hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED: A minimum educational requirement for this role.
  • 5+ Years of HVAC Experience: Proven experience in the HVAC industry, with a strong understanding of commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Lifting and Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50lbs or more and stand, crawl, sit, and squat for extended periods.
  • Valid Driver's License: A requirement for safely operating company vehicles.
  • Union Membership: Currently a union member or willing to join a union.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Understanding of Building Automation Controls: Familiarity with building automation systems and controls.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Experience with Salesforce and ServiceMax: Familiarity with these software systems, a plus for this role.
