Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chassis Procurement Specialist to join our team at Sewer Equipment. This role involves ensuring that chassis components meet quality, cost, and delivery standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to effectively support customer demands and optimize the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Sustain Relationships with Suppliers: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure chassis components meet design and manufacturing specifications while adhering to delivery schedules.
  • Place Orders and Oversee Procurement: Place orders for chassis parts and oversee the procurement process to guarantee timely and cost-efficient acquisition.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Team: Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that chassis components comply with required standards and specifications.
  • Manage Inventory: Manage inventory to ensure an adequate supply of chassis parts and components, balancing supply with production needs.
  • Resolve Supply Chain Disruptions: Address and resolve any issues related to supply chain disruptions, quality problems, or delivery delays promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Understanding of Chassis Components: Understanding of chassis components and their role in vehicle manufacturing.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • High Level of Accuracy: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management procedures.
Location and Commitments:
  • Permanent Full-Time Role: Permanent full-time role based in Dixon, IL.
  • Standard Working Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.
