Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, administering medications and treatments as per established protocols.
- Assist in preparing medical equipment and support physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the medical team.
- Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring they have the necessary information and instructions.
- Coordinate patient scheduling for tests and procedures, following up on results as needed.
- Manage incoming calls, providing information and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Develop and update patient care plans, ensuring all documentation is accurate and current.
- Record vital patient data prior to consultations, including vital signs and medical history.
- Ensure all necessary consents are obtained before procedures.
- Conduct EKGs and other necessary readings as directed by physicians.
- Perform laboratory procedures and manage specimen processing, maintaining accurate records.
- Collect blood samples while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of examination and treatment areas.
- Handle prescription calls and assist with pre-authorizations as required.
- Support the medical team by maintaining patient records and files.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have graduated from an accredited practical nursing program. This is an entry-level position requiring 0-3 years of experience in a clinical environment. Current CPR certification is mandatory.
