Job Title: Planer Mill Lead

West Fraser, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planer Mill Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the planer mill, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality lumber products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and train a team of planer mill staff, including machine operators, laborers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to optimize productivity and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth supply chain and efficient workflow.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring proper setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in a related field is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of planer mill machinery and operations.
