About the Role

Boeing is a global leader in the aerospace industry, and we are currently seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance specialist to join our team. As an Associate General Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks on aircraft, including flight control installation, removal, and rigging, as well as landing gear and servicing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks associated with flight controls, including installation, removal, and rigging
  • Service and maintain landing gear
  • Change out essential components, such as servo pumps, filters, and engine components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements
  • Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate online parts and discrepancy requests
  • Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits
  • Ensure all equipment is used in accordance with established safety and operating procedures
  • Diagnose and correct malfunctions occurring in assembly processes
  • Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and other equipment necessary to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in depot-level or heavy general maintenance
  • 3+ years of experience working on various aircraft exterior and interior systems, including hydraulic, flight control, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines
  • 3+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

Additional Information

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Boeing facility in San Antonio, TX. Applications for this position will be accepted until December 17, 2024. The estimated salary for this role is $73,300 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
