St Lukes Jerome Medical Center is seeking an experienced ER Nurse to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Idaho.
Job Requirements- Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Will accept first-time travelers with 3 years of experience in the specialty
- Will accept 1 year of experience, but must have experience at a critical access hospital, community hospital, or small level 3 or 4 trauma hospital
- Must be able to work independently with limited resources and have good time management skills
- Must be able to titrate on drip and provide conscious sedation; blood products
- 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am
- Self-schedule, but not finalized until balanced by management
- Willing to work with travelers on scheduling
- Cannot guarantee block scheduling or set schedules
- Every other weekend
- Nights: Friday and Saturday, Days: Sunday and Monday
- May be asked to go in the holiday rotation
- Experience or 'Must have' skills:
- Non-trauma, no STEMI, stroke
- Triage out of the lobby; travelers allowed to triage
- Yes, housed outside of ED in the hospital
- 17 patients/day
- Nurse: Patient Ratios 1:3-4;
- Staffing: 1 physician (24-hour shift), 2 ED RNs (days and nights), no techs or CNAs
- 1 Charge Nurse over ED and MS - will float to ED to assist if there is a surgical Charge nurse does not take an assignment
- Must be able to read and interpret tele and document it appropriately
- Attached to ER; CT & Xray will transport but nurses asked to assist since there is only 1 tech working on nights.
- Yes, 1 lab tech
- May be asked to float MS unit; usually only if the traveler has prior MS/MS-Tele experience; May be asked to go task in that area
- RNs - Any color but Maroon. RNs usually wear Navy
- CNAs - Maroon
- 1 shift with preceptors
