Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive ambulances and other vehicles to transport patients to and from medical facilities, hospitals, and other destinations.
  • Patient Care: Provide assistance to emergency medical technicians (EMTs) during transport, including lifting stretchers and securing patients for transport.
  • Communication: Communicate with patients, staff, and family members in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Document transportation activities and ensure accurate information is recorded.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain clean and orderly vehicles and supplies in the ambulance.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Criminal Background Check: Pass a thorough background check.
  • Physical and PPD: Pass a physical and PPD (Purified Protein Derivative) test.
  • Reliable Transportation: Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Z-Endorsement/Taxi Endorsement: Possess a Z-endorsement or taxi endorsement on their driver's license.
  • EVOC: Have completed Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) training.
  • CPR Certification: Possess current CPR certification.
