Qualifications Required:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Valid licensure from the California Physician Assistant Board or the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience in a primary healthcare environment is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to maintain sensitivity and professionalism with patients and their families.
- Demonstrated reliability and adaptability in work scheduling.
Responsibilities:
The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for delivering medical services within their scope of practice, as defined by their education and training. This includes:
- Consulting with supervising physicians on complex cases.
- Performing medical tasks and procedures as delegated.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve sedentary tasks, typically requiring the lifting of items not exceeding 10 lbs. This includes handling files and small medical equipment.
