Role Summary:

We are seeking a Community Development Mortgage Loan Officer who will concentrate on Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Multicultural Originations. This role is pivotal in generating residential mortgage loans for Low to Moderate Income (LMI) communities, majority-minority neighborhoods, and individuals from LMI and minority backgrounds (including but not limited to Black or African American, Hispanic, American Indian, and Asian/Hawaiian/Pacific Islander).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate mortgage loans to meet production targets.
  • Develop loan opportunities through established referral networks, community organizations, housing agencies, local business leaders, and real estate professionals.
  • Transform leads into applications, present tailored mortgage solutions, prepare necessary disclosures, and gather required documentation to fulfill loan conditions.
  • Oversee the loan pipeline from origination to closing while completing necessary management reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize Old National Bank's resources to provide accurate and current loan information to clients and partners.
  • Advocate for home ownership, particularly in areas identified as majority-minority census tracts.
  • Organize and lead home-buying educational seminars for prospective CRA and multicultural mortgage applicants.
  • Engage with community, non-profit, and governmental organizations focused on affordable housing initiatives and minority communities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in community-focused and diversity mortgage loan origination.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FHA, conventional, and governmental lending guidelines, as well as federal lending regulations, CRA, Multicultural, and HUD income standards.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively.
