Job Summary

Pines Health Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Urology and General Surgery Clinic team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care, including nursing assessments, screenings, and procedures as designated by providers.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, histories, and test results.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as ordered by providers and educate patients on medication use.
  • Lab Work and Testing: Process lab work, perform CLIA waived testing, and prepare patients for diagnostic or specialty testing.
  • Exam Room Preparation: Prepare and clean exam rooms for provider/patient needs, including stocking medical supplies.
  • Sterilization and Infection Control: Maintain proper sterilization of office instruments and equipment.
  • Acuity Assessment: Assess clinical calls with providers to determine patient acuity.
  • Prescription and Test Result Management: Relay patient prescriptions to pharmacists, follow up on orders, and notify patients of test results.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current professional Maine Registered Nurse License with no lapse in re-licensing status.
  • Certifications: Maintain at minimum BLS certification and complete required training programs (Bloodborne pathogens, SDS, and OSHA).
Skills and Abilities
  • Injection Administration: Ability to give injections.
  • Organizational and Prioritization Skills: Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with providers, patients, and office personnel.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency with basic computer systems.
