Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, documentation, and enhancement of methods and procedures utilized in the assembly, processing, testing, and production of Milwaukee Tool products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain operational method sheets (OMS) and related documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for the team.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement that enhance production efficiency and quality standards.
  • Conduct analysis and prepare justifications for equipment and process enhancements, focusing on capital investments and manufacturing expenditures.
  • Perform capability and time studies, and execute plans for process improvements.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of equipment, tooling, and fixtures, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Monitor and document key process metrics to effectively allocate resources.
  • Facilitate the flow of information across shifts and throughout the plant.
  • Review budget forecasts and incorporate them into daily operational decisions.
  • Engage in Kaizen initiatives and project engineering activities as required.

Compliance and Support:

Provide technical assistance for compliance issues related to quality, safety, and environmental standards, adhering to Milwaukee Tool policies. Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and maintenance teams, offering backup support for fellow engineers.


Team Contribution:

Contribute to the overall success of the team by performing related tasks as needed to achieve cell objectives. Commit to a minimum of forty hours of training annually and stay informed about industry trends and developments.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or (Electro-) Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preferred three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient understanding of production systems and techniques, with the ability to learn and apply Milwaukee Tool management tools.
  • Capable of problem-solving and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical systems, along with experience in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Computer skills are highly preferred.
