Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain timely financial charts and reports to support analysis and decision-making.
  • Participate in month-end closing procedures, drafting journal entries, reviewing account activity, identifying necessary accruals, and highlighting unbudgeted financial variations.
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations, proactively resolving unreconciled transactions.
  • Evaluate procurement, labor, and production costs across operational facilities and terminals.
  • Prepare and manage customer price sheet processing.
  • Analyze logistics costs and monthly trends.
  • Sales, margin, and expense analysis and reporting.
  • Gather and consolidate data from key stakeholders globally for weekly metric reporting.
  • Maintain KPC Global Strategic Initiatives Tracker.
  • Participate in annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting processes.
  • Provide audit deliverables and communicate with internal and external audit teams.
  • Perform various financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Identify improvements, make recommendations, and promote new ideas.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-training within the department and provide assistance during absences and high-volume events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline; CPA or path to becoming a CPA preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, data extraction/consolidation experience, and prior exposure to an ERP system.
  • Inventory and manufacturing cost accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
