Water Treatment Mechanic

Company Overview: The Town of Hampden is seeking a qualified individual to join its sewer team within the public works department. As a key member of the team, you will assist the sewer superintendent with sewer and stormwater maintenance.
Estimated Salary Range: $25.15 - $32.09/hour with overtime
Job Description: This full-time position requires skilled manual labor during maintenance of roads, storm drain, and sewer utilities. You will work on tasks specific to the maintenance of the Town's sewer pump stations, including construction and maintenance of duplex pump stations, installation of sewer and stormwater piping and structures.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have experience in the construction and maintenance of duplex pump stations, installation of sewer and stormwater piping and structures, and a Class B driver's license. A tank vehicle operation endorsement or obtaining one within 12 months at Town expense is also required.
Benefits: The position offers a competitive benefits package and a set schedule (variable during winter and on-call scheduling). You will also be expected to obtain a Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification at Town expense.
