Manufacturing Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process optimization strategies to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Support operator capability building through process cross-functional Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Utilize process Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to own and support 1-KPS Problem Solving of critical site concerns.
- Collaborate with the plant maintenance manager on special tasks and actions.
- Develop cooperative working relationships with cross-functional teams within the manufacturing plants.
- Create project plans and harness resources to ensure project milestones are met within expectations of timeline, quality, and budget.
- Optimize manufacturing process operations by finding the optimum production and machine settings with a focus on quality and cost.
- Participate in the analysis of quality problems and applicable solutions, handle relations with the maintenance and production departments for optimization purposes, and ensure follow-up to solutions.
- Work with R&D teams for new product requests from customers.
- Organize and track upscale production trials and define production parameters for new products in collaboration with the R&D team and site team (safety, quality, production, supply chain, and maintenance).
- Determine materials and equipment for specific projects.
- Study product design, customer requirements, and determine performance standards.
- Troubleshoot product manufacturing issues on the production line and offer short- and long-term solutions with maintenance and production teams.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Engineering.
- Lean Six Sigma qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in plant maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering.
- 1-2 years prior experience in food manufacturing or alternative heavily regulated environments (e.g., Pharma manufacturing, automotive).
- Preferred experience with food manufacturing unit operations: Solid-Liq Extraction, Evaporation, Centrifuge Separation, Pasteurization.
- Experience in managing and executing capital projects $50k-$500k.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with SAP and AutoCAD (preferred).
The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually, based on several factors including education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. Kerry offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
