Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Employer Services Recruiting. As a Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and contractors, and for implementing and maintaining effective safety programs and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and education to employees and contractors on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate and report on all incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure that safety is integrated into all aspects of project planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and other relevant certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with safety management software and other relevant technologies.
  • Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification.
