Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in our operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of tasks to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
- Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs of production machinery.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
- Perform basic machinist tasks and responsibilities.
- Utilize mechanical skills, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and services.
- Carry out plumbing maintenance and carpentry tasks.
- Employ various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in daily duties.
- Identify faulty operations and defective materials, reporting any unusual situations to supervision.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred, or equivalent education and experience in production maintenance.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment is required, with strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and industrial maintenance, along with some PLC and HVAC experience preferred.
Essential Skills:
- Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in various office software applications.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and may be exposed to moderate to high noise levels.
