Environmental Services Aide Job Description

At SCA Health, we are seeking a skilled Environmental Services Aide to join our team in a multispecialty facility with four operating rooms. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with room turnovers, including cleaning furniture and equipment, to ensure a sterile environment for patient care.
  • Remove soiled laundry and empty trash receptacles to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Provide stretchers for the transportation of patients as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Restock scrub sink supplies, hair and shoe coverings, masks, and other needed PPE supplies to maintain a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Maintain area/departments in an orderly/organized fashion, adhering to facility standards and regulations.
  • Perform daily/weekly inventory of supplies and notify appropriate personnel of order needs to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Assist with inventory management as assigned, contributing to the efficient management of resources.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education.
  • Minimum one year job-related experience in an inpatient or outpatient surgery center, showcasing expertise in patient care and facility operations.
  • Basic computer knowledge and working knowledge of medical terminology, enabling effective communication and data management.
Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, reflecting the value of your skills and experience.
